Since moving back to The Lisenby Farm, I've been swamped with household projects. I decided to make myself a little getaway "retreat" as I go through another life transition taking care of my grandparents and renovating the property.
My grandpa built this treehouse for me in 1994 and I moved away the same year. My mother moved us over an hour away that year and I could only return to visit this little gem every other weekend spent away from school. The staircase to access the treehouse had fallen down between the trees, so no one has been able to go in until now! It was a true time capsule from my childhood in 1996.
The first chore was learning how to use the tractor and clear a path way, take down a couple trees to line my path, spread mulch and lights and plants... It was A LOT of work!
I also had our contractor install new decking around the treehouse since...
