Create Time, Spend Less & Live More!

According to a New York Times article in 2001, IKEA did a survey of customers in which 31% reported they were more satisfied after clearing out their closets than they were after sex. Wow. If that doesn't motivate your spouse to help you get organized around the house, I'm not sure what will! However, if you OR your significant other is STILL not on board with your new found love for all things organized, here are a few other wonderful benefits for getting your life organized.   Save Your Sanity Who wants to stress about stuff? Ew. Studies show that 10% of the things we worry about in life are petty and unimportant such as we worry about what’s for dinner, we worry about being late, we worry about what to wear.   Save Time They say the average person wastes about 55 minutes per day searching for things…keys, files, tools, clothes, etc. That’s a lot of time over the course of a year! One of the key...

An Organized, Meal Planned Fridge.

An Organized, Meal Planned Fridge.

For those that know me personally, know that I DESPISE grocery shopping. I can't stand it! The whole process; meal planning, going to the store, bringing my own bags, organizing the fridge, having all the right ingredients, then trying to put it all together in time for dinner and not burning it. -Too much work- It wasn't until about a month ago that I was perusing Facebook that I saw a few of my friends "liked" this company called Blue Apron. This company will send you all the ingredients with the exact portion sizes! Ta-Da. I'm saved! My boyfriend and I have been using Blue Apron for over a two months now and we both have so much fun preparing each meal. *Bonus* It comes with step by step (with pictures) of how to prepare each dish. Which means it so easy to cook that even my boyfriend easily prepares a gourmet dish in 30 minutes. No stress. No shopping. AND, it's a new and exciting activity...

The Lego-land Kid!

The Lego-land Kid!

I had such a blast organizing with this loving family of four. Their son, age 8, was the sweetest, cutest thing I've ever seen. His father called me asking for help. Emotionally, it was very hard for him to deal with his son's room. "I've been wanting to do this for a while, we just need help", they told me. As soon as I met him and his lovely partner, I knew I could de-clutter his son's room in a heartbeat. But, I had no idea his son would make such an impression on my heart. This family has so much love to give and to share. They just needed help getting it done! His son and I spent six hours together in his little 8x9 room shuffling through toys and dust. I think the excitement of getting his 'room back" got him pumped up. I remember him telling me, "this is so cool I can see my floor, I haven't...

“They took the time and cared about my stuff.”

Soon after my dear friend Lisa passed away in August 2012, I felt like I needed to "escape" my home, that my current living situation didn't make me feel safe and secure as it should. I found that through organizing for others, giving them a new insight or new direction, I could heal my heart and finally begin this new chapter in my life. It wasn't long after that I had the pleasure of meeting Deborah, one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. She too was going through a major transition in life and after a stressful move from Mercer Island, she didn't know what to do or where to start. "The clutter was stifling my growth, in terms of this new direction in my life." -Deborah (Kirkland, WA) Deborah sat down with me last week and shared her personal experiences of relocating, downsizing and working with our team to turn a new space into a relaxation destination. This is Deborah's journey...
